The Monocle Café is seeking a café supervisor with experience to help lead the front and back of house teams in the day-to-day operations of the café.
You should be a strong communicator, detail-orientated and passionate about hospitality and creating a fun, cosy atmosphere for our customers and staff.
You should like a fast-paced environment and be excited to be support and be involved in wider company events.
Responsibilities:
Take responsibility to ensure smooth running of the business during working shifts and to conduct this in line with Monocle Café policies, procedures, and strategic direction.
Use initiative to solve any problems.
You will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service is provided across the team. You should ensure that service is prompt and delivered to the highest standards
To assist in the training and development of new staff and always contribute to a positive work environment.
To assist in ensuring stock levels are maintained and communicated to management
To assist in the planning and execution of any special functions or events
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness and ensure guidelines are adhered to
Proactively resolve any customer complaints in an efficient, professional, and satisfactory manner to ensure a positive outcome and secure future business, escalating any serious issues to the Cafe Manager.
To ensure that each day’s sales are correctly and accurately reconciled in line with the electronic-point-of-sale report and credit card terminal.
