Monocle Radio is looking for an experienced live radio sound engineer to work on our 24-hour audio service. You’ll be working on pre-recorded and live programming with a small team of engineers and producers for one or two shifts a week that will include early and late hours (and some weekends). You’ll have a passion for radio and audio, and a keen interest in current affairs. You’ll also have at least two years’ experience in a working studio environment. Knowledge of RCS Zetta or a similar playout system is essential. Adobe Audition skills are also desirable, as well as an intimate understanding of the dynamics and pressures of a live radio studio. You will need to feel confident around VoIP systems and in digital environments. As well as great ears and technical ability, you will also need to have good studio etiquette and be able to work well with producers, presenters and guests.
Responsibilities:
– Driving the desk during live shows.
– Editing podcasts and audio packages.
– Operating studios during recordings.
– Connecting lines from around the world.
