This week we head to the Portuguese capital Lisbon to visit one of its lesser-known districts: Graça. Home to several sites where travellers can take in picturesque panoramas of the city skyline, the Graça neighborhood still manages to retain the feel of a small town and is home to some promising chefs and bars where diners can explore the many flavors and aromas of Portuguese cuisine. Monocle’s correspondent Ivan Carvalho guides us through the area’s vibrant culinary scene.
This week we head to the chic neighbourhood of La Condesa in Mexico City, known for its tree-lined avenues and slow pace of life. Monocle’s Mathilde Felter guides us through the area’s vibrant restaurant and bar scenes.
This week we venture down Oxford’s Cowley Road, an area of the historic city that offers a surprising mix of culinary delights from around the world (and is traditionally the home of one the UK’s largest carnivals). Our guide is Monocle’s Mariella Bevan.
Monocle’s Diego Lopez takes us on a gastronomic adventure around the streets of Barranco, the Peruvian capital’s historic district and an area known for its rich and diverse food scene.

This week we join Jeremy Lee, chef patron of Quo Vadis, on a bustling tour of his favourite cafés, delis and restaurants in the London neighbourhood of Soho.
This week we join Monocle contributor Louis Allen as he dons his snow boots, dodges moose and takes in the northern lights on a tour of Anchorage’s culinary highlights.
This week we head to Providence, Rhode Island, a New England town famous for its universities and also as a place that elected a convicted felon twice. It’s this storied past that makes it such a dynamic foodie destination. Our guide is Marisa Mazria Katz.
This week, Hester Underhill guides us through Kypseli in Athens. Named after the Greek word for “beehive”, the buzzy, sprawling neighbourhood is home to a diverse array of restaurants and cafés.
This week, Sally Howard explores Tbilisi’s Old Town, the heart of the ancient Georgian capital. She tries a selection of sharing dishes with heavy Persian, Mongol and Russian influences and, of course, a healthy dollop of sour cream.
This week, we head to Melbourne. Lygon Street in Carlton offers as fine a selection of Italian cuisine as you’ll find anywhere – very arguably including Italy. Our guide is Monocle’s Andrew Mueller.
Monocle Radio’s Andrei Nikolai Pamintuan takes us to Makati City in the Philippines on a food crawl around the historic district of Barangay Poblacion.
This week, Monocle’s Christopher Cermak heads to Eastern Market in Washington’s Capitol Hill neighbourhood. The market, which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, offers a diverse culinary mix that goes far beyond traditional American fare.
